June Lake Loop 2024 Trip

This trip was in June of 2024 and it's been a while, but the season opener is end of April 2025 so it's only less than 3 months out.  If you want to fish, there's nowhere else more beautiful than the June Lake Loop area in the Inyo Forest - the Sierra Nevadas.

I have been going here for years, when i was single, then married and with my son - some incredible memories. 

And after all these years, I discovered a new and amazing spot to fish, I'll call it the Red Picnic Table Bend.  I'll get the right coordinates soon, but in the meantime, this is how you get to it.  Yeah, and I caught that monster at this location.

You to to the Silver Lake Resort - and from there about a quarter of a mile to the right, at the crossing, this is for guided horse packing trips - you can park anywhere on the road - you will see a post marker - and the trail that leads to the stream - follow the path and when you come to a fork go right, then 100 yards later another fork - stay to the right - go through the bushes and all of a sudden it opens up - you'll see a red picnic table and the beautiful view you see above.  It's my secret spot, but people do know of it - I had several people stop if, but left once they saw the spot was take.

The image above shows you the crossway I mention and from there you can see the way finder pole, stay to the right.

Cast all the way right, I used night crawlers and a small weight and the stream will drag it left and then FISH ON!
